Arts and crafts activity of the week

Here is today's arts and crafts idea:

Triple - Fold Card

Materials:

  • Thick Paper
  • Craft knife
  • Pencil
  • Markers
  • Any writing Utensil
  • Ruler
  1. First take a sheet of thick paper and lay it HORIZONTALLY out on a flat surface.
  2. Take a ruler and measure 1 inch from the left, and 1 inch from the right, and mark dots on the measurements.
  3. Then take the ruler again and measure 2 inches from the top, and 2 inches from the bottom, and mark dots in the measurements
  4. Make a line from two inches from the top and 1 inch from the left to two inches from the top and 1 inch from the right.
  5. Do the same type of line, except from two inches from the bottom.
  6. Cut the lines you made with a craft knife.
  7. Divide the section between the cuts into thirds, HORIZONTALLY.

  8. There must be two lines you didn't cut. Cut those lines from 1 inch from the left to 1 inch from the right.
  9. Ten divide the whole page into thirds VERTICALLY.
  10. After cutting all those lines, there must be three flaps that are dis-attached to the paper on the top and bottom and attached on the left and right.
This is how your paper should be looking:
  11. To the top most flap, fold it outwards on the first vertical fold you made on step nine. Fold it inwards on the second vertical fold you made in step nine.
  12. To the middle flap, fold it inwards on the first vertical fold you made on step nine and fold it outwards on the second vertical fold you made on step nine.
  13. To the down most flap, do the same thing you did to the top most flap.
  14. Now fold your card, and open it, you have a tri-fold card!
  15. Decorate the card with markers, write something with pencil, and gift it to someone special, or keep it for yourself as a self-stand card!
