i think it can go both ways. a project recently conducted by a school program said that cellphones were actually helpful for children reducing the weight of the bag, using online books. It can also be a total distraction and form an unsafe relation with someone.
cellphones are not needed for school.They cause a huge distraction. If a child needed to call their parents, they can use the telephone at the school office. ~ashna
Cell phones are necessary, but only when a kid is more responsible. A lot of middle and high -schoolers need cell phones to call parents and friends, but cell phones should not become a distraction during class time.
Cellphones can be used with limited /restricted access- they may have acess only to guardians/parents.. This will help to get access to them incase of emergency. This can be a good idea to be used by service providers for capturing this market ( special plans/numbers for schools)
cellphones should be used...but to limit. if a child(like me) is at school and a parent happens to be late, you could call them. but otherwise, v r 2 young for phones. I mean my friend has one and all she does is text everyday!! use of phones too much can cause poor eyesight, and no one wants that! it can also be a distraction and be thought about everyday at school instead of focusing on studies. :):)
